Dick Beardsley (born March 21, 1956) is an American long-distance runner best known for tying for first place with Inge Simonsen in the inaugural 1981 London Marathon and his close finish with Alberto Salazar in the 1982 Boston Marathon.
Dick Beardsley is one of the world’s most extraordinary, well respected, and compelling motivational / inspirational keynote speakers. He is the author of the inspirational international best selling autobiography Staying the Course, A Runners Toughest Race and the subject of the best selling book Duel in the Sun: The Story of Alberto Salazar, Dick Beardsley, and America's Greatest Marathon.

Presentation will start promptly at 8AM in the Fleet Feet Winston-Salem TEC room. Presentation will last approximately 75 minutes and Dick Beardsley will be available after the presentation for autographs and book signing.
