Run/Walk Training Programs
Include coached workouts and educational clinics to help you achieve the distance and prepare you to keep moving long after race day.
 
Marathon (26.2 miles):  Have you completed a half marathon and still want more? Join us for our marathon training program! You should be able to finish 13 miles at the start of the program.
  • First Practice: Saturday, January 2, 2010
  • Target Race:  North Carolina Marathon in High Point on March 20, 2010
  • Weekly Practices: Wednesdays at 6pm for coached speed workouts and Saturdays at 7am for organized long runs 

SW2S2 - Six Weeks to Speed Series:  Speedwork training series designed to train athletes to improve pace, strength and recovery times.  Participants in SW2S2 should be able to comfortably run 4 miles and be prepared to put forth a strong effort to take their training to the next level.
  • First Practice: Monday, March 1st at 6:00am
  • Weekly Practices:  Mondays and Thursdays at 6:00am at Fleet Feet Sports

Spring 2010 No Boundaries Beginner 5K (3.1 miles): Beginner-level 12 week 5K Training Program designed for beginner runners and those that are inactive and minimally active.

  • First Practice: Saturday, January 30th, 2010
  • Target Race: Heart & Sole 5K on Saturday, April 24, 2010
  • Weekly Practices:  Tuesdays at 6pm AND Saturdays at 8am
 
10K – 2010 (6.2 miles): A great next step program for those that have completed our No Boundaries program or can comfortably run 3 miles at the start of the program.
  • First Practice: May 4, 2010
  • Target Race: Freedom Run 10K in Greensboro on June 26, 2010
  • Weekly Practices:  Long rus on Saturdays at 7am AND Speed-Workouts on Tuesdays at 6:00pm 
Fall 2010 No Boundaries Beginner 5K (3.1 miles): Beginner-level 12 week 5K Training Program designed for beginner runners and those that are inactive and minimally active.

  • Target Race: Ardmore 5K, mid-October 2010
  • Weekly Practices: Tuesdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 8am
 
Half-Marathon (13.1 miles): Designed for runners that can run 5 miles in less than 60 minutes. This program incorporates distance, speed, and hill work to prepare you for your first half marathon.
  • First Practice: Saturday, September 19, 2009
  • Target Race:  Mistletoe Half Marathon on Saturday, December 5, 2009
  • Weekly Practices: Saturdays at 7am
 
 
Beginner Triathlete Training Programs
Include coached swim, bike, and run workouts and transition and race-day prep clinics. Participants should be able to swim 1 length of the pool and comfortably ride 2 miles on the road.
 
Triathlon 101: 8 week, beginner-level triathlon training program designed to help you complete your first sprint triathlon. Co-ed program, must be 18 years old or older to participate.
  • First Practice:  mid-April, 2010
  • Target Race:  36 North Triathlon, June 20, 2010
  • Weekly Practices: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings
  • Registration begins March 1, 2010.
 
Tri4Women: 6 week, women-only beginner-level triathlon training program, designed to help you complete the Ramblin’ Rose Women-Only triathlon.  Must be 18 years old or older to participate.
